Not that anyone noticed, but Lou Dobbs stepped down at CNN a couple nights ago, an action that was a long time in the making. He did his best to convince his audience that he left of his own volition, but apparently he was given an ultimatum by CNN president Jonathan Klein. No doubt Klein thought Dobbs' promotion of birther conspiracies, a story even Fox News gave up on, was damaging CNN's reputation. Of course, that wasn't all he was into.
